Learning Objectives

  • Describe the neurological distinction between Habilitation and Rehabilitation and explain how this biological foundation supports a client's generalization of skills to functional, occupation-based activities.

  •  Define nature-connection as a foundational human occupation within the OTPF-4 framework and identify two occupational domains in which nature-connective approaches can be applied.

  •  Describe nature-connection as a historically rooted human occupation and identify how this foundation supports its integration as an occupation-centered intervention within contemporary OT practice.

As the creator of the NatureLed™ Approach, I’ve spent three decades bridging evolutionary biology and neuro-biology with occupational science. I don't teach you to take therapy outside. I teach the hard science of how environmental context dictates the mastery of occupation.
